<image:title>Home - Oscar Boatfield Level 2 Qualified Angling Coach and Lead Guide.</image:title>
<image:caption>I have been fly fishing for as long as I can remember, and fished competitively for over 11 years. As a youth, I represented England at international and World Championship level. As an adult, I have coached the England youth team, have been a professional guide for the last 11 years, co-authored an award-winning fly fishing book, built fly rods, and done some embarrassing stuff on TV. Over the years I have been lucky enough to fish alongside some of the worlds best anglers, I have learned a great deal from them and now want to pass that on to you. I am now working as a full time guide on the incredible rivers of North Yorkshire. I believe these rivers offer some of the best trout and grayling fly fishing in the world and are one of the best kept secrets in fly fishing. I have made it my mission to introduce as many people as possible to the wonders of fly fishing on these spectacular waters.</image:caption>

<image:caption>I was born in the U.K. but grew up in Australia. I learnt to fish on the back of boats, off coastlines and whenever I came back to the U.K., on the River Test at the bottom of my grandparents garden. When I moved back to the U.K. in March 2018 I decided to get serious about fly fishing. I am trained as a veterinarian and suffer from some mental health issues (as do many people). Fishing became a way of connecting with nature, switching off and simplifying life for that day. I am passionate about making this sport easily accessible, simple and informing people of the mental health benefits associated with fly fishing.</image:caption>

      <image:title>The Materials - Made by Amy</image:title>
<image:caption>We insist on working with great people who share our values, and our lead bag maker Amy is one of a kind. She wears turquoise everyday, has two cats; George Clooney and Cleopatra, and as far as we can tell, only listens to Radio 6. She is awesome. She takes all our ideas, no matter how obscure, and turns them into reality. She has been making bags for 20+ years and is a true master of her art. She does all this, with the help of a small team, from her studio in the heart of the Suffolk countryside.</image:caption>

      <image:title>The Materials - Waterproof lining.</image:title>
<image:caption>We use a waterproof polyester lining in a hi-vis orange. This helps keep your gear safe, dry and easy to find.</image:caption>

      <image:title>The Materials - Great zips = 50 hours of research</image:title>
<image:caption>We don't like zips, they tend to be the first thing that breaks on a bag. So when it came to finding a zip for our Universal Pack we knew it had to be something special. Eventually we chose a Riri AQUAzip®. These zippers are weatherproof, super hard-wearing, and made in Switzerland.</image:caption>

      <image:title>The Materials - Cobra buckle closure</image:title>
<image:caption>Our belt buckles are made in Austria by AustriAlpin. They are known for making some of the worlds best buckles, and their Cobra buckles are absolutely incredible. We have them sent to us by road, instead of air, to reduce our carbon footprint.</image:caption>

      <image:title>The Materials - The bits and bobs.</image:title>
<image:caption>Labels. Our internal cotton labels and are made for us by National Weaving in Wales. Each label is signed by Amy. Embroidery. Our embroidered patches are made for us in Nottingham by Patchion. Fittings. The rest of our metal fittings are sourced from UK and EU companies that buy in bulk from China. Whilst not being ideal, we simply are not able to meet the minimum order requirements to produce them locally and affordably. However, we are working hard to find viable alternatives.</image:caption>
